At 1034 hours, Station 3 was dispatched to assist the Ambulance at the AMC Theater in Lexington Park for an injured person from a fall. Engine 32 and Chief 3A responded on the call and arrived on location to find 2 injured workers who were trapped in a stairwell after a construction accident. Chief 3A requested the Confined Space Incident response which added Truck 3, Rescue Squad 6, Rescue Squad 7, NDW Station 13, EMS Station 38, EMS Station 6, and St. Mary's ALS. Rescue Squad 7 responded with 6 Volunteers shortly after dispatch on the call.

Rescue Squad 7 arrived on location and went to work with Members of Stations 3, 13, and 6 to extricate the trapped workers. Once the area was stabilized, the crew set up a hauling system to removed the injured workers and turned them over to EMS on the scene. The crew from the Rescue Squad used numerous tools and stabilization equipment from the unit to complete the extrication and removal.

A total of 3 workers were removed from the building with 2 being flown to the Trauma Center due to the injuries sustained. Rescue Squad 7 operated on the scene for an hour before returning to service.

Chief 3A held the Command.
