Crews Run House Fire in Wildewood

At 1532 hours Engine 9, Engine 7, Engine 3, Engine 132, Truck 7, Truck 3, Rescue Squad 1, EMS Station 38, and EMS Station 79 were alerted to 44239 Summersweet Way in California for the reported House Fire. Engine 72, Truck 7, and Chief 7 responded on the incident with 14 Volunteers.

Chief 7 was first to arrive finding a 2 story single family home with smoke showing from the eaves. After performing his 360, Chief 7 reported fire showing from the "B" and "C" sides of the structure and establishing the "Wildewood" Command. Engine 72 arrived next, laying a supply line from the hydrant and stretching an attack line to the first floor. The crews found 2 rooms off on the first floor and extinguished the same. Engine 91 backed up Engine 72 on Division 1 with Chief 9B as the Division Supervisor. Rescue Squad 1 arrived and was assigned the 1st due Special Service and worked as such. Truck 7 arrived, positioned on side "A" of the structure, and was assigned to fill out the RIT with Engine 132. Engine 32 was assigned Division 2 by Command and found slight extension on the Second floor.

The fire was placed under control at 1604 hours and Command scaled the assignment back to the Units from Station 7, Engine 91, and Truck 1. The Units from Station 7 remained on the scene performing overhaul and assisting the FM before returning to quarters at 1748 hours.

One Firefighter was transported to the Hospital with minor injuries from fallen glass. No further injuries were reported.
