At 0123 hours Engine 9, Engine 3, Engine 13, Engine 7, Tower 9, Truck 3, Rescue Squad 6, EMS Station 38, and EMS Station 39 were dispatched to 22483 Macarthur Blvd. for the reported House Fire. Engine 72 and Chief 7 responded shortly after dispatch with 6 Volunteers on the run.

Prior to Units arriving on location, Ambulance 388 checked up responding and advised they could see smoke and fire showing from their quarters. Engine 32 arrived on location, laying a supply line, finding a one story single family home with fire throughout the structure. Chief 7 arrived on location and assumed the Command from Engine 32. Engine 72 arrived on location, picking up Engine 91's water supply and stretching the 350' attack line to the structure. Engine 72 was assigned as RIT and completed a 360 and secured utilities. Due to the structure being compromised and numerous holes in the floor, the bulk of the fire was knocked down from the exterior. Once the bulk of the fire was knocked down, Crews started making a push inside to extinguish the remaining fire. The Crew of Engine 72 assisted a Firefighter who fell through a hole in the floor down to the crawl space. The Firefighter was uninjured and able to keep working.

After 20 minutes of working, the fire was placed under control. The Crew of Engine 72 was reassigned to assist with overhaul and dropped the ceiling in several room. Members from Hollywood operated on the scene for approximately and hour and a half before returning to service.

Engine 72 returned to quarters at 0302 hours.
