At 1410 hours, Engine 1, Engine 7, and Truck 1 were dispatched to 41170 Paw Paw Hollow Lane in Leonardtown for the Automatic Fire Alarm. Engine 73 responded shortly after dispatch with 4 Volunteers. While responding, Communications advised that a Firefighter was on the scene reporting a working fire. At 1417 hours the assignment was upgraded to a Structure Fire adding Engine 2, Tanker 7, Tanker 5, Tanker 9, Tower 9, Truck 3, Rescue Squad 5, Water Supply 5, EMS Station 19, and EMS Station 79. Tanker 74 made the response with 4 additional Volunteers shortly after dispatch.

At 1422 hours Captain Bell arrived on location reporting a 2 story single family home with fire showing from the garage and established the Command. Engine 10 was next to arrive, laying out from the hydrant and stretching an attack line to the structure. Engine 73 arrived and picked up Engine 10's line and supplied the fire ground. The crew from Engine 73 stretched a second line and backed up Engine 10's crew. Chief 7B was assigned the "Division 1 Supervisor" with the crews from Engine 10 and 73. Crews made an interior attack before conditions started to deteriorate and Command requested the building to be evacuated. The crews regrouped with additional attack lines provided by Engine 23 and Tanker 74's crews an re-entered the structure. The crews made a second push on the fire and were able to knock down the bulk of the fire within 20 minutes of re-entering the house.

Command placed the fire under control at 1503 hours and held all units for overhaul. Engine 73 and Tanker 74 remained on the scene until 1701 hours before returning to service. One occupant was transported for smoke inhalation and the State Fire Marshal's Office is handling the investigation.

The units from Station 7 returned to quarters at 1713 hours.
