At 1533 hours Company 7, 1, Truck 7, and EMS Station 79 were alerted to 25210 Secretariate Drive for the reported house on fire. Chief 7 (R. Albert) and Engine 73 (Safety Officer Facini) responded at dispatch as fire board advised them that they were taking numerous calls reporting fire through the roof. Chief 7 then started the Working Fire dispatch on the call, adding Company 9 and Water Supply 5. Chief 7 was first to arrive on the scene at 1539 hours with a corrected address of 25188 Secretariate Drive, reporting he was on side alpha with a one story wood frame dwelling on a basement and heavy fire showing. Chief 7 at that time established the Hollywood Command and advised fireboard that all subjects were out of the structure and accounted for. Engine 73 arrived moments later dropping the 4 inch from the driveway and advancing a 1 3/4 attack line into the front door on side alpha. The crew from Engine 73 went to work as Engine 14 was the next piece to arrive picking up 73's supply line. Chief 7A (D. Insley) arrived next and was given Division 1, and the officer from Engine 14 (Chief 1A Bell) was given safety. Engine 14's crew pulled a second line off of Engine 73 and advanced it in with the initial attack crew who was putting a knock on the fire at that time. Firefighters found heavy fire in the attic and crews working inside began hooking the ceiling so hand lines could access the fire above. Truck 7 arrived on side alpha and went to work assisting crews inside with hooking the ceiling and there other objectives to be completed, as Engine 74 and 72 arrived assisting in fire extinguishment. At 1603 Command advised fireboard that the fire was under control and would be holding all units on the scene for overhaul. At that time units from Hollywood, Leonardtown, Bay District, and Seventh District entered the structure and began salvage and overhaul duties. A short time later command advised that Hollywood and Leonardtown units would suffice to finish the job and units from Bay District (Tower 9, and Engine 91) and Seventh District (Water Supply 5) were placed in service. At 1735 hours all salvage and overhaul operations had been completed and Command was terminated by Chief 7. All units cleared the scene and Hollywood units were back in quarters at 1845 hours.
