On Thursday 10/12/06 at 1218hrs Stations 7, 9, 3, Crash 13, 79, 19, and 39 were alerted to St. Mary's County Airport for the reported plane crash on the runway. Chief 7B (Hill) arrived on location at 1223hrs with a plane down with 50% fire involvement and established the airport command. The three personnel on the plane were out before the arrival of the units. Engine 91 and Engine 74 arrived with Engine 91 laying out a supply line onto the runway and Engine 74 picking it up. Rescue Squad 7 arrived and assisted the engine crew with extinguishment of the plane. Units stood by till the arrival of DOD personnel, and Chief 7B (Hill) relinquished command to Chief 13A. Units cleared at 1328hrs.
