By Hollywood Volunteers
October 25, 2015

At 2020 hours Station 2, Charles Station 2, Charles Station 5, Charles Truck 3, and EMS Station 29 were dispatched to 40060 Circle Drive in Golden Beach for a possible Shed Fire. Prior to units arriving on the scene the assignment was upgraded to a House Fire adding Charles Station 3, Charles Tanker 10, Truck 7, Rescue Squad 7, and Water Supply 5. Truck 7 and Rescue Squad 7 responded shortly after dispatch with 11 Volunteers.

First arriving units found a one story single family, abandon house that was fully involved. Crews started a defensive attack knocking the bulk of the fire from the outside. Truck 7 and Rescue Squad 7 arrived and provided lighting and overhaul on the fire ground.

The units from Station 7 remained on the scene for over an hour and a half assisting with opening up and conducting overhaul. Truck 7 and Rescue Squad 7 cleared the scene and returned to quarters at 2252 hours.

During the incident Tanker 74 transferred to Mechanicsville Station 2 with an additional 5 Volunteers. While Tanker 74, Truck 7, and Rescue Squad 7 operated in Mechanicsville, a 4th crew handled a gas leak in Wildewood with Engine 72.

This Fire is being investigated by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.
