At 0629 hours Company 7, Squad 7, Squad 1, EMS Stations 79, 19, and the SMCALS were dispatched to the intersection of Three Notch Road and Clover Hill Road for the report of a Motor Vehicle Accident with Entrapment. Squad 7 was the first to arrive on scene confirming 3 vehicles, with one on it's side and one subject trapped. Rescue Squad 7 went to work stabilizing the vehicle using the Paratech Struts, as the unit OIC established the Three Notch Road Command. Engine 72 arrived next placing a handline in service for protection and than assisted the Squad crew with extrication. The company took the drivers side door and windshield before removing the roof to gain access to the patient. Chief 7A arrived shortly after and assumed the Three Notch Road Command, along with Squad 1 who assisted in removing the patient in the process. Command requested a MedEvac for a Priority 1 Category A trauma and Engine 73 responded to the scene to handle the Landing Site for Trooper 7, who landed just past the incident on Three Notch Road. Once the patient was placed in Trooper 7, Command was terminated and all units returned to service.

Shortly after that incident at 0835 hours Company 7 was dispatched to the address of 25050 Peregrine Way in Hollywood for a Animal Rescue. Communications advised a Horse was stuck inside the stable in a hole and could not get itself up. Rescue Squad 7, Utility 7, and Captain 7 all responded to the scene to determine what course of action would be needed. Upon arrival it was determined the horse was laying on it's side in the stable and the body was laying in a hole which prevented it from being able to get on its hoofs. The Squad crew worked to dig around the horse to make room for the air bag system and to give the horse some room to work once it was pushed back upright. While that was being done, a plan was created on what would be the best option to place the air bags onto the horse. The company placed 1 single high pressure air bag between the horses front shoulder and against the stable which pushed the horse up and away from the hole. Once the horse made enough clearance a 2nd high pressure bag was placed at the horses back shoulder and the rear was pushed up and away which gave the horse enough stability to roll over and get back upright. Units cleaned up from the scene and returned to service at 0945 hours.
