June 14, 2015

As the Engine Co. returned from an Automatic Alarm a Box Alarm was dispatched at 46860 Hilton Drive in Lexington Park for the reported smoke coming from an Aparatment Building. The Box alarm consisted of the Engines from 3, 13, 9, and 6, Tower 9, Truck 7, and Squad 3, along with EMS Stations 39, and 38. Truck 7 responded with 5 personnel and as they did a 2nd Box Alarm was dispatched at 48387 Surfside Drive for the reported Lighting Strike to an Apartment Building. The Engine and Rescue Squad responded on that incident however after further investigation it was found to be a good intent call. Truck 7 arrived at Hilton Drive and took the 2nd Due responsibilities, covering the Charlie and Delta Sides. The crew reported to Division 3 where Engine 32 had extinguished a fire in the attic area. The Rescue Squad diverted from Surfside Drive and arrived at Hilton Drive to assist units on the scene. As Command was in the process of scaling the incident back another Box Alarm was dispatched in Company 3's area, this one being at 21332 Lookout Drive for a townhouse on fire. Engine 72 who was returning to quarters responded on the run and assumed the 1st due responsibilities. Truck 7 and Rescue Squad 7 cleared the Box Alarm on Hilton Drive and also responded on the Lookout Drive Incident. Engine 72 arrived and laid a supply line from the a nearby hydrant and positioning past the address on side Alpha reporting a 3 story townhouse with a working fire between the 1st and 2nd level. The Rescue Squad arrived along with Truck 7 who positioned as close to Side Alpha as possible and went to work as the 1st Due Truck Company. Chief 7A was the attack group and held the stairs going to Division 2 with Engine 72 as the floor was compromised, while Chief 7 held the Vent Group and coordinated opening up the walls with Truck 7 on Division 1. Crews extinguished the fire and completed all interior duties while the outside team secured the power, gas, and ran lights and ladders to the front. Company 7 operated on the scene for approx. 2 1/2 hours before returning to service.
