Engine 74 to St. James House Fire with People Trapped w/ Video

At 1319 hours Station 3, Station 4, Station 9, Station 6, EMS Station 39, EMS Station 49, and St. Mary's ALS were dispatched to 19555 Three Notch Road for the reported House Fire with People Trapped.

Units from Station 3 arrived on location reporting a 2 story split level house with smoke showing and one person trapped. The units made an aggressive attack and rapid search to locate the occupant and fire. The crews removed 2 occupants from the house to EMS for transport. Chief 3A arrived on the scene and established Command and requested 2 additional tankers.

At 1326 hours Station 7 was added to the incident with Engine 74 responding shortly after dispatch with 4 Volunteers. Engine 74 arrived on location and the crew immediately went to work opening up and knocking down fire found in the attic area. The crew of Engine 74 also performed a search on the second floor that was proved negative.

The fire was deemed under control at 1402 hours by Command.

Engine 74 was utilized to shuttle water from hydrants at St. Mary's College to the scene and dumped 5,000 Gallons of water to the units operating on the fire ground.

Engine 74 remained on the scene for an hour before returning to quarters at 1510 hours. The fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshall's Office and is undetermined at this time.

The Officer's and Members of the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department wish to send our condolences to everyone this incident has touched.
