At 1133 hours Station 1, Station 7, Station 6, and EMS Station 19 were dispatched to the area of 42302 Medley's Neck Ln for the report of Smoke coming from the House. Engine 72 and Engine 74 responded with 10 volunteers on the run shortly after dispatch. Chief 1 was first to arrive to find a two story single family residence with nothing showing. After further investigation it was found that the house was charged with smoke and smoke detectors were activating. Engine 11 arrived on the scene next laying a supply line up the driveway and advancing an attack line to the structure. The crew from Engine 11 forced the door and found moderate smoke condition in the house. Engine 14, Truck 1, Engine 74, and Engine 72 arrived on the scene while the crew of Engine 11 put a knock on the fire. The crew of Engine 72 and Engine 74 assisted with performing searches and opened up the structure. The crews found several animals inside and removed them outside the structure. The fire was found to be in a small closet off the kitchen area. Once the area was checked and found no extension Command held the Box with Company 1 only. Engine 72 and Engine 74 returned to quarters at 1235 hours.
