Truck 7 responded shortly after dispatch with 7 volunteers. Charles County Engine 23 was first to arrive on the scene finding a one story single family with heavy fire throughout the structure. The crew from Charles Engine 23 advanced several handlines to the structure and went defensive on the fire. Units from Mechanicsville arrived and supplied the fire ground with Truck 7 arriving next. The crew from Truck 7 assisted with opening up, fire attack, and overhaul. At 0207 command requested additional Companies to the scene for manpower. Engine 74 responded with 7 volunteers on the call. The crews from Hollywood worked together performing overhaul functions and extinguishment on the structure for several hours.

With companies still working on the first house fire, Charles Engine 31 cleared the scene to return to quarters. While returning to quarters at 0457 hours, they came across a second house fire at 40208 Golden Beach Rd. Charles Engine 31 arrived to find a one story single family with smoke showing. The crew from Engine 31 advanced a line into the structure and found a room off. Engine 74 responded from the first fire and was the second arriving Engine, picking up Charles Engine 31's line. The crew from Hollywood assisted the Waldorf volunteers with opening up and overhaul. Engine 74 remained on the scene for about and hour assisting with fire ground operations.

Engine 74 and Truck 7 returned to quarters at 0655 hours from both fires. Along with Engine 74 and Truck 7 operating on the fire ground, a third crew from Hollywood Transferred Engine 72 to Station 2 during the incidents.
