For the 2nd year in a row, the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department has opened its doors to the county's St. Mary’s County Public Schools Fire and EMS Cadet Program. Recently, the cadets and firefighters from the St. Mary's County Public Schools were participating in a practical evolution to achieve the Rescue Technician: Vehicle and Machinery Extrication Certification. The students are bused to our station every school day where they learn basic fire fighting & EMS training. These students are a key to keeping our volunteer stations filled as they must be a member of a volunteer company to apply to the program.
