Hollywood Volunteers Run First Due Working Fire

At 1628 hrs Engine Companies 7, 1, 9, Truck Companies 7, 9, Tankers 1, 2, 1002, Squad 2 , Chief 7 and Chief 7A responded to the 26000 Block of Peninsular Dr in Hollywood Shores for the reported garage fire attached to the house. Within 4 minutes of dispatch Chief 7 arrived on the scene to find a 2 story single family home with fire throughout the first and second floors. Engine 72 arrived and stretched a 200' 2 inch line and began an attack. Chief 7A held division 1 and worked with Engine 72. Truck 7 then arrived and set up for ladder pipe operations while water supply was being established.

Once the water supply was completed Engine 72 supplied Truck 7 and ladder pipe operations were completed for approx. 2 minutes to knock down a bunk of the fire. Immediately following, the crews from Engine 72, Tanker 74, Tanker 24 and Squad 2 made a push with 2 hand lines to extinguish the remaining fire. Once inside Truck 7 completed a primary search of the residence which was found to be negative.

After the fire was knocked all units from Company 7 and Company 2 remained on scene to complete overhaul and assist the Fire Marshal with the investigation.
