On January 15 at 1006 hours Chief 7 came across a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Three Notch Road and Clarkes Landing Road. Chief 7 requested the "Rescue Assignment". After a quick size up it was determined that a door removal was needed to free the occupant. Chief 7 established the "Clarkes Landing Command". Rescue Squad 7, Engine 72 and Chief 7A responded and arrived shortly after dispatch and went to work stabilizing the vehicle. Chief 7A was assigned Extrication Group Supervisor. Rescue Squad 7 and Engine 72 were able to free the trapped occupant within 7 minutes and turned the patient over to Paramedic Ambulance 389.
