October 8, 2017

At 2109 hours, Station 7, Rescue Squad 7, Rescue Squad 2, EMS Station 79, EMS Station 29, EMS Station 19, and St. Mary's ALS were dispatched to the area of 26066 Three Notch Road in Oraville for a Motor Vehicle Accident with one on Fire. Rescue Squad 7, Engine 73, and Chief 7 responded on the incident with 12 Volunteers.

While units were responding, Communications advised they had reports of people in the roadway and a vehicle on fire. Chief 7 was first to arrive finding a large debris field with 2 vehicles involved in the collision. Chief 7 reported one vehicle on fire that was split in half and a second vehicle off the roadway. Chief 7 established the "Hollywood" Command and advised all units to use caution due to numerous people and vehicles in the roadway. Rescue Squad 7 and Engine 73 arrived on location with both crews stretching attack lines for the auto fire and part of the Squad crew establishing patient injuries. Rescue Squad 2, along with Chief 2 and Chief 2B, arrived and started a recon of the area for additional injuries. It was determined that 4 patients would be treated and transported and that 2 patients were deceased on the scene.

All 4 patients were treated by EMS on the scene and transported by the Ambulances. Two patients were transported by MSP Trooper 6 to a local Trauma Center and the other two patients were transported to MedStar St. Mary's Hospital by Ambulance 297.

Engine 73 handled the landing zone for Trooper 6 near the accident scene while Rescue Squad 7 remained on the scene assisting Police with lighting.

Chief 7 held the "Hollywood" Command and all units cleared the scene at 0201 hours.

The Officers and Member of the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department send our condolences to everyone this tragic event has touched.
