At 2314 hours Engine 73 (3rd Due), and Squad 7 (2nd Due) were dispatched to the Locust Inn, located at 14478 South Solomons Island Road in Solomons. Engine 73 and Squad 7 responded with a total of 9 personnel and arrived on location to assist units who had fire showing on arrival. Engine 73 assisted with fire attack on division 2, while the crew from Squad 7 completed all exterior duties, before assisting in opening up. Once crews from the company assisted in opening up and salvage operations were completed the crews were released from the fire ground. Units from Company 7 operated on the scene for approximately 2 and 1/2 hours before returning to service. One Firefighter from the Company sustained minor injuries and was transported to St. Mary's Hospital by ambulance. Units returned to quarters at 0230 hours.
