By Hollywood Volunteers
February 5, 2017

At 0731 hours, Engine 7, Engine 1, Engine 9, Tanker 1, Tanker 9, Tanker 2, Truck 7, Truck 3, Rescue Squad 2, Water Supply 5, EMS Station 79, and EMS Station 19 were dispatched to 43216 Plainview Drive for the House Fire. Engine 72, Tanker 74, Truck 7, Rescue Squad 7, Chief 7, and Chief 7A responded shortly after dispatch with 18 Volunteers on the call.

Chief 7 arrived on the scene, 20 seconds after the dispatch, reporting a one story single family home with smoke showing from side "A" of the structure. Chief 7 established the "Hollywood Shores" Command across the street in his buggy. Engine 72 was next to arrive, laying a supply line into the scene. The crew of Engine 72 advanced an attack line to the structure and was assigned "Fire Attack". Truck 7 arrived next and was assigned the "Vent" Group. Crews found fire in several rooms and the attic of the one story structure. Chief 7A arrived and assumed the "Fire Attack" Supervisor with Engine 72 and Tanker 74 operating. Crews worked opening up the ceiling and extinguishing the bulk of the fire within 10 minutes of arrival.

All units worked performing overhaul and ventilation before the assignment was scaled back. At 0801 hours the fire was placed under control and the assignment was scaled back shortly after, holding units from Station 7 and Station 1.

Units from Hollywood remained on the scene, completing overhaul duties and restored the units. All Hollywood units returned to quarters at 0955 hours.

Units: Engine 72, Engine 11, Engine 91, Tanker 74, Tanker 14, Tanker 93, Tanker 24, Truck 7, Truck 1, Truck 3, Rescue Squad 2, Water Supply 5, Ambulance 798, Ambulance 799, Chief 7, and Chief 7A
