Crew of Rescue Squad 7 work to free this trapped occupant

At 1238 hours Station 7, EMS Station 79, EMS Station 19 and the Medic Unit were dispatched to the intersection of Three Notch Rd and Clover Hill Rd in Hollywood for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Rescue Squad 7 and Engine 73 responded on the call with 10 volunteers. Rescue Squad 7 arrived on the scene moments later to find a two vehicle T-Bone style collision with a child trapped in the passengers seat of a pick up truck. The crew went to work stabilizing the vehicle and removed the passengers side front door to free the trapped occupant. After further evaluation of the child and consulting Children's Hospital, it was determined that the child be transported by MSP Aviation to Children's Hospital in Washington. Engine 73 handled the Landing Zone for Trooper 7 in the Southbound Lanes of Three Notch Road just south of the accident scene. Trooper 7 transported the one patient to Children's and Ambulance 799 handled the other 2 signed refusals. Rescue Squad 7 and Engine 73 cleared the scene at 1314 hours and returned to quarters.
