At 0244 hours Station 3, Station 9, Station 6, Water Supply 5, EMS Station 39, and EMS Station 6 were dispatched to 18558 Point Lookout Rd in Park Hall for the House Fire. At 0250 hours Chief 3 arrived on the scene of a 2 story farm house with fire showing from the roof area and requested 3 additional tankers to the call. The brought Station 4, Station 1, and Station 7 for the Tankers. Engine 74 responded shortly after dispatch with 6 volunteers on the incident. Engine 74 arrived on the scene and assisted the units with water supply and the defensive operation of fire attack. Tower 9 was placed in position to utilize the aerial master stream and knocked the bulk of the fire down in the attic and second floor. Once the bulk of the fire was knocked down, a crew from Engine 74 and Truck 3 entered the structure to continue with fire suppression. The crew worked for a short time inside knocking down any visible fire and opening up, checking for extension. Command placed the fire under control at 0517 hours and advised they would be holding all units. The crews worked on the scene for several hours continuing to hit hot spots and overhaul the structure. Engine 74 remained on the scene until 0556 hours before returning to service. Chief 3 (Gould) held the command and the fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshalls Office.
On a side note, every Station in the County operated at least one piece of apparatus on this incident.
