SMOKE ALARM SAFETY TIPS
Smoke alarms save lives. Almost two-thirds of home fire deaths resulted from fires in homes with no smoke alarms or no working smoke alarms. When there is a fire, smoke spreads fast and you need smoke alarms to give you time to get out.

At 1205 hours Station 9, Station 1, Station 7, and Station 3 were dispatched to 21943 Park Drive in California for the House Fire. Engine 74 responded at dispatch with 5 Volunteers.

At 0622 Station 7, Station 2, EMS Station 79, EMS Station 29, and St. Mary's ALS were dispatched to the intersection of Three Notch Road and North Sandgates Road in Oakville for a Motor Vehicle Accident with one person trapped. Chief 7, Chief 7A, Rescue Squad 7, and Engine 72 responded on the incident with 12 Volunteers.
On October 10th at 0447 hours Companies 9, and 7 were alerted to Calvert County to assist with a reported House On Fire. The Hollywood Volunteers responded with the Engine and Tanker shortly after dispatch with a total of 8 volunteers.
