Charles "Jenks" Mattingly III Funeral

JANUARY 20 - Jenks proudly served the volunteer fire service for over fifty years. He was a Past President and Past Chief of the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department, and currently serving as Chaplain. In 1995 Jenks served as President of the Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association and in 2001 became the President of the Maryland State Firemen's Association. Volunteer's Run First Due Water Rescue

JANUARY 17 - At 1631 hrs Company 7, Raft 1, Raft and Boat 83, and company 79 was dispatched to Cole Creek in Hollywood Shores for a report of a possible person in a canoe in distress out in the water. After dispatch Units from Hollywood responded with 10 personnel. Squad 7 arrived in the area attempting to locate and found the subject was actually in the Patuxent River just off of Broomes Island. One Overturned on Mervell Dean Road

JANUARY 06 - At 1609 hours Station 7, EMS Station 79, EMS Station 19 and the Medic Unit were dispatched to the 24400 Block of Mervell Dean Road for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Rescue Squad 7, Engine 73, and Chief 7 made the response with 10 Volunteers. The units arrived on the scene to find several vehicles involved including a van that was on it's side. 2 Close Calls in Leonardtown's First Due Area (Audio Added)

JANUARY 05 - At 1135 hours Station 1, Station 7, Station 9, Station 6, Water Supply 5, EMS Station 19 and 79 were dispatched to the Willows Restaurant at 24509 Point Lookout Rd for the report of smoke in the building. JANUARY 05 - At 0447 hrs Squad 7 was dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle accident with a occupant trapped and vehicle overturned. Squad 7 along with Command 7 responded with 5 volunteers. JANUARY 01 - At 0714 hrs, Company 7 was dispatched for the Engine and Tanker for a house fire at 40145 SunnySide Road in Loveville. Engine 74 and Engine 73 responded with 9 personnel.
