- It's that time of year again and the Hollywood VFD is soliciting donations for its carnival to include bike purchases. Each year for the past many years, our local carnival gives away free children's bicycles to children ages 0-12 years old by a raffle. - At 0942 hours Station 7, Rescue Squad 1, EMS Station 79, and EMS Station 19 were dispatched to the intersection of Three Notch Road and Jones Wharf Road in Hollywood for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Engine 72 responded at dispatch with 4 volunteers and arrived on the scene at 0946 hours. Engine 72 reported 2 vehicles in the roadway and Captain Brady established the "Hollywood" Command. Southern Maryland Parade

- On Sunday morning units from Hollywood reported to Ryken High School to line up for the Southern Maryland Parade. This year HVFD had several entries in the parade along with the Fire Apparatus including a Junior Fire Chief and Little Miss Fire Prevention. - At 1715 hours Station 7, EMS Station 79, EMS Station 19, and St. Mary's ALS were alerted to Three Notch Road and Jones Wharf Road in Hollywood for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Rescue Squad 7, Chief 7(Brady Jr.), and Chief 7B(Riley) responded on the call with 8 volunteers. - At 2205 Station 3 was dispatched to Spring Ridge Middle School for a Bush on fire in front of the School. Brush 3 arrived on the scene requesting to "Fill the Box" and they had a working fire inside the building. 2013 Car Show
APRIL 22
- Despite the windy and chilly day, over 80 cars a few venders and numerous spectators came out to support HVFD's annual Car Show. A big thank you goes out to Hollyrock Customs and Chesapeake Trophy for donating the trophies for the event. Hollyrock Customs also donated $150 to HVFD from a raffle he held during the event.
