Hollywood VFD Responds First Due to Aircraft Emergency at St. Mary's County Airport

Past Chief Charles Miedzinski (CP), March 22

At approximately 1050 hours, Hollywood VFD Station 7 was dispatched to the St. Mary's County Airport for the Aircraft Emergency. Engine 72, Tanker 74, Rescue Squad 7, Chief 7, Chief 7A, and Chief 7B responded with 16 Volunteers. Chief 7A and Tanker 74 arrived on the scene to find an aircraft with a malfunctioning front landing gear circling the runway. Chief 7A established the St. Mary's Airport Command ... HOLLYWOOD VFD New Brush Unit (Updated 3-18-2020)

HOLLYWOOD VFD has purchased a new Brush unit that is currently being built by Atlantic Emergency Solutions / Skeeter Brush Trucks. The new Brush 7 is really starting to take shape. The body has returned from the paint shop along with the compartment doors. This unit is on schedule for an April completion and delivery date. Hollywood VFD Runs Single Vehicle Overturned

Past Chief Charles Miedzinski (CP), March 15

At approximately 1500 hours, Hollywood Volunteers were dispatched to the 24600 block of Three Notch Road in Hollywood for a Motor Vehicle Accident, reported as a vehicle overturned. Rescue Squad 7, Chief 7, Chief 7A, and Chief 7B responded with 10 Volunteers. Units arrived on the scene within minutes, finding a single vehicle overturned with all occupants out of the vehicle. SPORTSMEN'S BASH POSTPONED

March 12

Per the Executive Order that was issued today by Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, the Sportsmen's Bash scheduled for Sunday, 15 March 2020 has been postponed until a later date. St. Mary's County Ducks Unlimited and Hollywood VFD will be rescheduling this event to a later date and all tickets currently sold will be honored on the new rescheduled date.
